Why does my carpet have shading?

This is called Permanent Pile Reversal Shading. It is a phenomenon that can appear in any cut pile carpet. Its occurrence is random and its causes are largely unexplained. It is also commonly referred to as watermarking, pooling or puddling. A cut pile carpet that is ‘shaded’ will show areas lighter or darker than the surrounding carpet pile. This variation is caused by the reflection of light from pile tufts which come to lay in different directions. You can read more about this here.

How do I keep my carpet clean?

Weekly vacuuming is recommended so that soil does not become embedded in the pile, causing accelerated wear by abrading the fibres at the base of the tufts. You can read more about cleaning and caring for your carpet here.

Is there a guarantee for Supertuft carpet?

Yes, our carpet is fully guaranteed for 5 years against faulty materials or workmanship, provided that it is maintained correctly and used only in situations for which it is recommended.
